Wiper or Scraper: Which Entrance Mat Do You Need?

Scraper mats remove grit, gravel, and larger debris right at the door — best placed outdoors or in a covered entry. Wiper mats pull moisture and fine dust from shoes as people walk further in, protecting floors from tracked-in dirt. Most high-traffic entrances need both, placed in sequence: a scraper outside the door, a wiper just inside it.
