Concentrate or Ready-to-Use?
Concentrate, almost always. The price on the jug isn't your real cost. What counts is cost per diluted gallon.
Hillyard Top Clean is $15.12 a gallon and dilutes 1:128. That makes 129 gallons — about 12 cents each. Retail ready-to-use isn't close. You're paying to ship water.
Commercial Disinfectant or Sanitizer?
A commercial sanitizer lowers bacteria to a safe level. A commercial disinfectant kills the broader list on its EPA label — most use quaternary ammonium or hydrogen peroxide as the active ingredient, so check the EPA registration number to confirm kill claims. Both only work if the surface stays wet the full contact time. Wipe it dry early and it didn't work.
